Hello and Welcome to my first inaugural blog. At last Spring has sprung and everything is bursting into life. I love this time of year.
Finally shrug off the winter coats and explore the great outdoors without having numbed limbs. If you have been dormant for a few months, you might feel stiff and achy as your body acclimatises to a new regime.
Why not book yourself an appointment for spring health check? It is easier to book using my new online booking system which is available on my website dcwosteopathy.uk and my Facebook Page @DCWOsteopathy My Facebook page has varied posts, blogs and videos to help you with your health.
Good news! My mobile treatment table has been fixed so I am able to offer home visits to patients within 5 mile radius of Chingford. Home visits cost £75. Concession rates available. Discounts to members of Orion Harriers.
I have recently qualified as an oncology massage therapist. What is it? Oncology massage is neither light, fluffy or insubstantial, it addresses the needs of the person and how the tissue responds.
This form of massage is not exclusive to Oncology but it is less demanding on those who are suffering with cancer or have an immune-suppressed condition that is placing a greater stress on the body’s systems. Therefore, the intention of this approach is to help the person’s recovery.
The aim of the massage is to improve the well being of the individual; amongst other benefits helps to relieve/reduce chemotherapy/radiation side effects. The techniques used are modified, specific to the individual. Treatment can take place in people’s homes, sitting in chair or laying in their hospital bed.
Do you know anyone who would benefit from an oncology massage; or you would like one yourself please book an appointment using the link below
